Dental awareness program for middle school students of Vellammal school, Mugappair, that happened on 22.6.2019

Velammal west Middle School compartment organized Extra Edge learning opportunities by Dr. Sandhya Arunkumar Dentist by profession. With masters in Oral Pathology is the Directory of Pearl Dentistry Mandaveli, for the children of VI. She gave a brief talk about Oral hygiene and practice of keeping the mouth and teeth clean to prevent dental problems most commonly dental cavities and bad breath. General guide lines was suggested by her and she also explained about the tools to clean between the teeth, including floss and inter dental brushes. Mouth is a window into what’s going on. She concluded that for a healthy smile they must practice good Oral hygiene.

Velammal West Middle School compartment is once again proud to announce that a separate session was conducted on “Puberty And Growing up” by Dr. Sandhya Arunkumar. Puberty is a phase of rapid growth. It is a time of rapid brain development and identity formation with many emotional changes for both boys and girls. Adolescence is a time of physical, social, and maturation. Biological, social, emotional and intellectual growth in adolescence is not synchronized. She discussed with do’s and dont’s during their menstrual cycles. Clean and hygiene tips were given to the students.
